Ahead of the expected July 19th Nexus 7 UK release date, Google has reduced the expected shipping times on its recently unveiled 7-inch tablet.
Previously listed on the Google Play Store with a 2-3 week shipping expectation, Google is now alerting consumers making Nexus 7 pre-orders that the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean brimmed device will hit their doorsteps within a 1-2 week period, a timeframe that would fit with the recently tipped July 19th expected arrival.
Having been officially unveiled during Google’s I/O developer’s conference late last month, retailer Currys has suggested the as yet unconfirmed Google Nexus 7 UK release date will see the Jelly Bean filled tablet launch on July 19th.
Whilst Google had previously suggested the 7-inch, Asus manufactured,Android 4.1 Jelly Bean tablet would land later this month, Currys last week became the first UK retail to hand the cut-priced iPad rival a potential release date with pre-orders now being taken on the 16GB tablet ahead of a claimed July 19th arrival.
Google Nexus 7 Features
A potential challenger to Apple’s strangle hold on the tablet market, the Google Nexus 7 is set to entice a new range of consumers to the tablet market with a Tegra 3 quad-core processor lining up alongside 1GB of RAM and a 1280 x 800p HD display to form a hugely impressive device.
Add to this a minimalist £159.99 price tag for the 8GB option, £199.99 for the 16GB model, and the Nexus 7 slots in as an Amazon Kindle Fire beater that thanks to its 10.4mm thick form factor, 1.2-megapixel inbuilt forward-facing camera and Wi-Fi connectivity option impresses on many fronts.
